About

Minna Nurmelin's The Map premiered at the Finnish National Theatre in late 2019. It is an absurdist satire about modern lifestyles and relationships, with something of a Godot framing. The central question that this rich play tackles is how we can find meaning, or at least meaningful existence, in the complexities and abstractions of today's world.

The Map quickly became especially topical as it premiered just before the pandemic, and with everything that has happened since, its relevance to the modern world has certainly only increased.
