Agency North is Finland’s leading literary agency in the fields of performing arts and film, as well as the most important exporter of Finnish drama.
We represent Finnish and international playwrights, screenwriters, librettists, novelists, composers and translators. With our foreign partners, we promote Finnish drama abroad and offer Finnish and Nordic professional theatres exciting new works from around the world.

Our mission is simple: we work for authors and rights owners.
We represent our clients’ works and negotiate contracts for them in Finland and abroad. We have close working relationships with all Finnish professional theatres, as well as major film and television production companies. Internationally, we work with theatres and producers both directly as well as through our partner network. We are the most important exporter of Finnish drama and work with our foreign partners to bring exciting new works to Finnish theatres.
Our services cover all aspects of effective rights management worldwide, from research and marketing to negotiations, contracts and payments.
Theatre
Agency North represents the vast majority of top contemporary Finnish playwrights as well as the works of foreign playwrights and authors. We also represent performance rights for many estates and brands, including Tove Jansson’s Moomins.
Film
Agency North has negotiated agreements on behalf of screenwriters and authors with all major Finnish film and television production companies. We have also worked with production companies in several other European countries.
